The Flame of Love

I am the flame lit especially my darling for you
I see tears falling softly like petals when summer is through
Its light flickers gently, the warmth melting your heart
The gentle breeze whispering ,we are never apart.

I am the flame that never goes out
Whenever you have days full of darkness and doubt.
When the black cloud of sadness dresses you in despair
Remember that my flame will always be there

I am the flame that is strong, good and kind
You know I will never leave you behind
To be alone would be sad; I will always be there
My flame flickers gently because I love you, and care.

I am the flame that helps make you  strong
Who knows that some days you feel you can’t carry on

The Sweetshop Ball

Sweetshop had shut up for the day
The Maltesers decided they were going away
They packed their gear in a Dairy Box
To climb a Glacier called Mint Fox

The sweets were now all wide awake
There was All Sorts of fun to make
The Chocolate Mice ran to and fro
As the Mars Bars to Mothers Pub did go

The Kit Kats spotted the chocolate mice
Who ran circles round the Coconut Ice
The Bounty cried because it was in dry dock
Time showed After Eight on the big wall clock.

The Marathons were training very hard
Some Pear Drops and Spangles standing on guard
The Smarties were looking for a Treet
They moved up market to Quality Street.

Shadows in the night

Shadows darting here and there
Whispers echoing through the air
The gentle wind sighing in delight
Under a starry, moonlit night.

A PRAYER FOR SUNDAY

Dear Lord on this your special day
Please help me as I go on my way
To try and live my life through you,
To do all that you would want me to.

Winter

The Sun has gone. Where can it be?
All summer it was there for me.
But now it must have gone away,
will it come back another day? It’s warmth and heat made me feel good,

Waspy

Waspy was a summer wasp
With black and yellow stripes
He used to buzz and buzz all day
Getting in everybody’s way

Waspy flew here and Waspy flew there,

Through the Unseen Veil ( from John to Babsy)

As I pass through
the unseen Veil
one gentle step ahead of you.
I hope I've left behind
a precious memory
that you can hold on to.

Thread of life

Life is just a slender thread
Like the magic of the spider’s web

It shimmers yellow, white and gold
The hard-spun patterns, soft and bold

The Easter bunny

Easter Eggs, in the shops galore,
Buy just one and you’ll want lots more.
One for Mum and one for Dad
And all the children, that’s not bad.

Tears

There was no time to say goodbye
Why God? I asked, as I wiped my eye
This evil seed, which grew and grew
Was something I never really knew
